State-of-the-art technology and TwinDSP power for the ultimate high-resolution audio experience
The P SIX DSP ULTIMATE is equipped with two of Analog Devices' most powerful 64-bit audio signal processors. The incredible processing power of 2.4 billion MAC operations per second, combined with a high sampling rate of 96 kHz and a frequency response with a range of over 40 kHz, as well as BurrBrown A/D and D/A converters, ensure excellent sound with Hi Res resolution.

In addition, the audio signal transfer protocol, including the new, more powerful power supply, has been optimized down to the last detail.

ACO – Advanced 32-bit coprocessor platform
The P SIX DSP ULTIMATE is equipped with our patented 32 Bit ACO platform, which not only handles all control tasks extremely quickly, but also handles a number of audio functions. Sound effects such as Augmented Bass Processing and the Real Center effect have also been implemented, as well as a separate per input channel EQ (Input Signal Analyzer ISA) for easy analysis and compensation of the input signals of OE radios, which already include a sound setting from the factory.

Optimal connectivity and flexibility
With its wide range of inputs and outputs (6xHi level, 6x RCA, 1x optical SPDIF, 1x coaxial SPDIF, 1x HEC socket, 4x line output & 1x optical output), the P SIX DSP ULTIMATE offers everything for easy adaptation to existing factory radios or multi-channel factory systems.

In addition, the wide input signal range of up to 32 V RMS allows the combination with almost any analog signal source imaginable, even with high-powered factory amplifiers. In addition, the integration of the optical digital output allows a completely digital chain with amplifiers in the same protocol, for example the P ONE MK2 or the P TWO MK2.

Finally, VCP (Virtual Channel Processing) is now included for flexible and easy configuration of even highly complex audio systems.

Of course, the P SIX DSP ULTIMATE can be easily configured via the new, professional and extremely easy-to-use DSP PC-Tool 5.

Ultra HD Class D amplifier technology
Compared to conventional class D amplifiers, this concept achieves an extended frequency response to more than 40 kHz combined with reduced distortion thanks to an advanced integrated feedback design. Ultra HD Class D achieves excellent 'AB-like' sound quality combined with the performance of a Class D amplifier.

TwinDSP Power
The P SIX DSP ULTIMATE contains two of the most powerful 64-Bit audio signal processors from Analog Devices with the outstanding total computing power of 2.4 billion MAC operations per second.
The TwinDSP Power concept enables the twelve channels of separate processing and numerous new audio features combined with the extended 96kHz sampling rate (resulting in an audio bandwidth of over 40kHz).

Ready for 24 V
The new P SIX DSP ULTIMATE has the ability to operate with a 12 Volt or 24 Volt supply voltage (eg as usual in trucks) without the need to make changes to the unit. In both modes of operation the amplifier will have equal performance characteristics. This guarantees maximum flexibility for many applications.
ACO – Advanced 32-bit coprocessor
The P SIX DSP ULTIMATE incorporates an extremely powerful 32 Bit Coprocessor of the latest generation. This not only handles all control tasks super fast, but also switches between up to ten possible sound settings in a flash. But ACO offers much more – in addition to a split-channel input equalizer, including the Input Signal Analyzer (ISA) for easy analysis and compensation of the input signals of OE radios and fantastic sound effects such as Augmented Bass Processing or RealCenter, there is now the revolutionary TuneEQ function for automated adjustment of output equalizers.
An additional major advantage is CoProcessor's built-in boot loader. It allows for software upgrades of all DSP components in order to configure the microcontroller controlled ADEP.3 circuit, for example in future modifications / changes to the diagnostic system of factory radios or if the device is to be expanded with additional interfaces.

ADEP high level intelligent input.3
Modern, factory-installed car radios incorporate sophisticated diagnostic capabilities for connected speakers. In particular, the latest generation of car radios are equipped with additional monitoring functions, so that failure messages and loss of certain features (eg fader function) are often displayed if an amplifier is connected – but not with the P SIX DSP ULTIMATE.
The new ADEP.3 (Advanced Diagnostics Error Protection, 3rd Generation) circuit avoids all these problems without unnecessarily loading the speaker outputs of the OE radio during high voltages.

Start-Stop capability
The AC power supply of the P SIX DSP ULTIMATE ensures a constant internal supply voltage even if the battery voltage drops to 6 Volts during engine starting.

Energy saving function
The power saving function is built into the basic function. It allows to significantly reduce the power consumption of the amplifiers connected to the P SIX DSP ULTIMATE when there is no input signal for more than 60 seconds. Please note that in many new cars with "CAN" or any other BUS protocol it can happen that the radio stays "invisible" on for up to 45 minutes. even after locking and exiting the car! Once the "Energy Saver Mode" is activated, the remote output and therefore the connected amplifiers will be switched off.
The P SIX DSP ULTIMATE will reactivate the remote control output within one second if a music signal is applied. It is possible to modify the 60 second shutdown time. or completely disable the "Power Saving Mode" via the DSP PC-Tool software.

Automatic digital signal detection
Switching from the analog input to one of the digital inputs is done automatically as soon as a signal is detected on the Optical or Coaxial input. This feature can be disabled in the DSP PC-Tool software. Alternatively, you can use an optional remote control to manually switch between analog and digital inputs.
DSP features

TuneEQ

TuneEQ is an extremely versatile and extremely easy-to-use function for automated frequency response correction. A single measurement per audio channel or pair of channels with a suitable measurement microphone (eg our MTK1) is enough for TuneEQ to independently and accurately adjust the equalizers to the desired reference curve. TuneEQ uses the full set of parametric equalizer functions, including center frequency, Q factor and gain adjustment. And since the highly complex arithmetic operations required for this run in the background, you also save a lot of time when optimizing your audio with TuneEQ.

RealCenter
The "RealCenter" feature is an algorithm, developed by Audiotec Fischer, that emphasizes the music information present in both the left and right front channels to create a unique center signal. Unlike common procedures, in which only the channels are summed, the center signal intensity is also dynamically controlled by the stereo information content of the left and right channels.

It sounds complicated, but this effect is amazing: This means that if only the left or right channels emit an audio signal, the center channel will not reproduce a signal. In the case of common algorithms, the volume level of the center channel is reduced by only 6 dB (= half the volume level). Audiotec Fischer's "RealCenter" enables a unique, expanded sound reproduction for driver and passenger at the same time! Therefore, the disadvantages of a conventional center channel, such as an intrusive, small soundstage, are a thing of the past.

Augmented Bass Processing
Audiotec Fischer's "Augmented Bass Processing" effect, consisting of the two revolutionary sound features "Dynamic Bass Enhancement" and "SubXpander", has been specially developed to dramatically improve the bass reproduction of subwoofers.

"Dynamic Bass Enhancement" intelligently combines maximum deep bass and higher sound pressure – regardless of music style or tone controls on the head unit. Depending on the input signal, "Dynamic Bass Enhancement" acquires the lowest frequency range and changes the cutoff frequency of the subwoofer. The result is a significantly stronger and deeper bass response at low and medium volumes without the risk of overloading the subwoofer either mechanically or electrically at high volume levels.
If really low bass is what you want, 'SubXpander' can be turned on additionally. Therefore, subharmonic tones are added to the fundamental tones in the frequency range between 50 and 100 Hz.
